Statement on Negative Capability
Negative Capability: the ability to embrace uncertainties, mysteries, and doubts without the need to immediately resolve them with facts or reason.

As an artist, I am always in an uncertain state. When I start painting, the most of time I have no idea or just a trace of idea of the painting. Using chemical reactions for painting method, 90% of paintings end up with just learning experience or no completion. With so many unsuccessful trails, I gradually have understood there is joy of waiting for something new appear or just playing in a mess. When everything works, it gives me unexpected excitement and fulfillment. The entire process needs patience, energy to try again and hope without dismissive judgments. In a way, Negative Capability is a necessary ability for me to create something new.
